Working within this respected organisation you will join a highly successful insurance team. This position is based upon a consultative approach to developing new business with mid-corporate high end clients. The role will be based in their Leicester office and your primary responsibility will be generation of new business across the Midlands regions.
This will involve:
 
Proactive generation of new business through networking, relationship building and attending industry related events with colleagues.
Managing new relationships and maintaining existing ones for growth.
Maintaining a balanced pipeline for future revenues by sourcing new prospects using the above.
Engaging and communicating effectively with senior level decision makers.
Collaborating with other internal teams to maximise revenue opportunities from prospects and existing clients.
Developing a high level of product knowledge within the commercial insurance sector with full assistance and training from the business.

Servicing Account Executive - book to inherit

£45,000
At a time when many competing firms are focusing on New Business Account executives to fulfil targets and growth, this is a rare opportunity to inherit a significant portfolio of clients.
 
Our client is one of the UK’s high profile insurance brokers, a darling of the industry that continues to win plaudits in the trade press nationally, as well as awards within the wider local business community. It has retained its autonomy over the years, and has no paymasters or external shareholders to satisfy. This provides its staff with a stable atmosphere with no fear of takeovers and mergers, leaving them to focus on the servicing of their clientele. Needless to say, this leads to a collaborative atmosphere, where employees feel they have a real say in the future direction of the firm.
 
Due to pending retirement, the need has arisen for an Account Executive to join the team.Whilst the exact make-up of this portfolio can be tweaked to suit your skills, experience and ambitions, it is anticipated that individual clients will typically generate £7.5K commission, with the largest paying fees of circa £25K. Clients will be from a range of industry sectors, such as Manufacturing, Distribution and the Charities, and based predominantly around the Midlands and the surrounding area, with a small number of accounts based further afield. It is important to stress that this is very much a servicing position, focusing on the management and retention of existing accounts.
 
Whilst prior experience of managing £25K income corporate cases is not a prerequisite, it is essential that you have a demonstrable track record of working as a Commercial Account Executive; successfully retaining a portfolio of clients including some ‘bigger ticket’ and complex cases. You must be confident in arranging and advising upon all common commercial covers, including Property, Liability, Fleet, Engineering and Financial Lines. Given the diverse portfolio on offer, you must be comfortable in dealing with clients from all walks of life, including both blue and white collar industries. We anticipate a large volume of high calibre candidates for this role, so whilst professional qualifications are not essential, progress made towards the ACII qualification would certainly support your application.
 
You must be professional in your approach, a confident communicator, and a skilled negotiator. You will also enjoy supporting the development of less experienced colleagues, and be willing to assist the Board from an operational perspective; providing an insight into the state of the market, and helping with insurer relations.
 
In return, you can expect a highly competitive basic salary (to circa £45K, but completely negotiable for outstanding candidates) plus bonus, car and a comprehensive array of benefits.
