Regional Account Manager

Our client is a leading software development company and a trusted partner to the general insurance industry. Based across the UK and Europe, it is a truly diverse organisation that offers a range of IT solutions to insurance brokers, insurers and MGAs.
The Regional Account Manager is a field based position, responsible for customers in the Southern region, including London. Your key focus will be to maximise order intake, maintain and develop customer relationships, and grow the customer base.
Key responsibilities of the Regional Account Manager:
Maximise order intake
Protect existing customer base and recurring revenue
Acquire new name customers
Consistently deliver monthly margin targets
Promote and sell the Company, all its products and services to customers
Represent the Company in a fitting and appropriate manner
Manage existing customer relationships and develop new ones
Key skills and attributes of the Regional Account Manager:
IT consultative sales experience (essential)
Essential sales skills: negotiating, closing, objection handling, forecasting, opportunity qualification
Account Management experience (essential)
New name customer sales (advantage)
Insurance industry knowledge (advantage)
Broking experience (advantage)
PC literate with working knowledge of MS Office product set
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Driven self-starter with ability to work independently under minimal supervision
