Our key client has an opportunity for a New Business Account Manager within their B2B Market Development Team, where you will be responsible for the acquisition of new partnerships and income within the Education and Property sector.
 
The role will require winning new business, followed by the management and retention of new B2B partnerships until handover to the retention team.  This will include cross sell and penetration targets and embedding the new business operational framework, to deliver an exceptional service of consistency and clarity. 
 
Reporting to the Education Partnership Manager, this is a national position and will include regional and some UK travel.  The role requires the individual to fully embrace the company’s brand values and working culture.
Our client has a dedicated field based team of Account Managers who focus on building and maintaining these relationships, and as a result, the Market Development Team work with over 300 partners, from Universities, Colleges, Private Accommodation Providers and Letting Agents. 
Key Responsibilities 
Research, prospect and source new B2B partnerships
Secure income via a high level of meetings and proposals that convert into confirmed business
Execution of the new business operational framework
Ensure quality business is undertaken to protect insurer loss ratios, customer satisfaction and target achievement
A full focus on new business, exceeding agreed monthly and annual income targets which contribute to the overall team sector targets
Deliver tenders, growing income and increasing market share
Explore new markets, implement new strategies and roll out new products and propositions
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience in a new business focused role, with a proven track record of hitting sales targets and securing new business
Possess business development skills in order to identify and develop market opportunities
Ideally possess experience in the University and/or Accommodation Sector as well as the General Insurance sector
Possess strong written and analytical skills, and good attention to detail to deliver tenders and use daily reports to assess performance
Be keen to travel and meet new people, therefore a full driving licence is required
Be ambitious, self-motivated and driven to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the table, identifying new business opportunities and having the confidence to capitalise on them
Have the ability to understand people and build rapport, and adapt styles of communication accordingly
The role will be field based along with an element of homeworking or attached to the office and will offer a strong range of benefits including a car and bonus scheme.
